Refine the thesis deliverable that I have chosen to work on first, and refine the draft of my visual system guidelines in the form of pages from my thesis process book. Decide on a user testing method for the deliverables in my thesis and start arranging the session.
Concept 3:
Visual System Guidelines
App
Reflection
What decisions have you made when putting together your visual system guidelines and why?
My visual system guidelines include logo anatomy, color palette, photography style, and added graphic elements this week based on Laurie's feedback.
What user testing method have you selected for your deliverables, and why do you think it will work?
For user testing, I chose prototypes for both deliverables 2 and 3. At this stage I choose a high-fidelity prototype to test with participants. Because I have built a visual system in Thesis 1, the advertising sketch will follow the visual system, and the application also applies the visual system. So a high-fidelity prototype can test whether the current vision system works and have the opportunity to get feedback on where visual improvement is needed. In addition, the high-fidelity prototype uses a mobile phone as a carrier, and testers can complete the entire task and interaction on the mobile phone, which means that the interactive prototype can provide me with a real user experience.
What did you learn during this process that was new or interesting?
While continually optimizing motion graphics ads, I've come to realize that creating consistent visuals and variations for each deliverable is challenging, even with a visual system in place. It's important for me to keep improving and optimizing each deliverable to achieve optimal results.
